Escondido Sunrise Rotary; Meeting to Serve our Community via Zoom; and “Wood, A Furniture Show” … January 6, 2022

As we all try to conduct our professional pursuits in new ways, it’s appropriate to remind ourselves of who we are as a Serving Organization… Our accomplishments, our fellowship and the reminder of our many successes is valuable as we seek new opportunities to serve…

 

This meeting was held via Zoom due to the contagious Omicron variant of Covid… And, opened with a “virtual bell”…

 

Online meetings will continue through January…

 

As a Club, we honored our nation with a salute to our Flag led by past President, John Boyce…

 

 

And, an invocation was offered by Past President, Jack Anderson…

Workplace Services Receives Kudos for their Emergency Response…

Dr. Joe Holtz received great emergency service from John Boyce and his crew at Workplace Services… A little bit of flooding in the house and some need for a quick response resulted in John’s visit to help get things cleaned up… 

 

Neighborhood Health Provides Booster Vaccinations…

President Elect, Tina Pope shared information about booster shot availability at Neighborhood Health… And, some limited Covid tests… Contact Tina for more details…

President Richard introduced Past President, Brian Murphy as he described the upcoming exhibit of “Wood, A Furniture Show”, sponsored by Brian and Nancy Murphy and others; and under the auspices of the Escondido Arts Partnership…

 

 

Brian and Nancy Murphy have sponsored the show along with a number of other sponsors for the past twelve years… To Brian, woodworking is both a profession and a passion. The wonderful designs and functional aspects of the over 125 entries make this event special for the community…

Photos include ‘Best of Show’ award; ‘Best of Finish’ award; and ‘Student Awards’… The Award winners in various categories receive prizes including cash awards and merchandise…
