Program

Gerry Fay discussing the manner in which Amazon deals with their vendors and their market…

Gerry, a new Sunrise Rotary member, is professionally involved with a company that seeks to overcome the ‘gray market’ impact of Amazon’s management of it’s merchant’s products. For example, the IT brands’ loss is projected at $20 billion in lost profits…

Gerry Fay speaking to Sunrise Rotarians…

Protempo is Gerry’s company and their goal is to make all of us smarter Amazon shoppers…

Gerry provided the ‘upside’ of Amazon as a retailer… But, he shared that Amazon does not provide the same level of vetting of vendors and many vendors undersell…

Gerry shared a comparison of Amazon and other sellers and the manner in which each of them manage their inventory…

He also spoke about the review system Amazon has in place to enable the buyers to compare products and vendors…

Gerry focused his comments on how Protempo protects the brands that are offered for sale on Amazon… Such that gray market sellers don’t undercut the manufacturers’ suggested prices… As mentioned earlier, the IT industries experience a projected $20 Billion loss in profit due to ‘gray market’ underselling…

The Opportunity Drawing is Back…

Tickets are available at each Sunrise Rotary meeting…

Support for our Escondido Community …

Our great community and the success of its businesses is all of our responsibilities… Support the businesses that are doing all they can to survive during this challenging time… Take out some chow… Be ready to support them when the economy begins working again…

The ‘Giving Arch’ on Grand Avenue and Centre City Parkway reminds us that Escondido is a caring, giving community…

To all; be safe and be well…. God Bless those men and women that carry the load at our medical facilities, and God Bless the first responders… May our governmental leaders be wise, thoughtful and smart as this pandemic is overtaken by our hard work and collective support…
