Past President Mike Muehl recently visited Vancouver BC and brought a tee shirt for President Dave…
Tina Pope was in Las Vegas, and brought the President an ‘answer button’… Of course every answer was ‘NO’
President Dave commented on the wild fires throughout California… He stated the Club was going to help fire victims in Mendocino and Shasta County with a donation for each… District 5130 in Mendocino and The Shasta Community Foundation.
He also ‘passed the hat’… A total of $2,100 was pledged at the meeting… Thanks to all!!
If you missed the meeting, pledges will be added to your monthly billing invoice, so please notify Bob Burson as soon as possible with whatever amount you may be comfortable contributing. Whatever we raise from these personal donations will also be split between the two aforementioned relief agencies.
Program:
Our program today was introduced by Past President Mark Hoekstra, and included representatives, Dan Dobbins and Courtenay of the San Diego Seals. The Seals are the newest expansion team in the North American LaCrosse League. Showing us a video of some game action; there was plenty of action on the indoor field and with the fans.

There are currently 11 teams in North America, the US and Canada. One of the biggest fan drawing franchise is Denver which averages 19,000 tickets sold per game. The league is planning to expand over the next several years; and currently is third in drawing indoor sports fans behind the NHL and the NBA…The Seals will be playing at the Valley View Arena (San Diego Sports Arena) and will begin play on December 8. Games are each weekend and expect to draw well in San Diego.
