As we all try to conduct our professional pursuits in new ways, it’s appropriate to remind ourselves of who we are as a Serving Organization… Our accomplishments, our fellowship and the reminder of our many successes is valuable as we seek new opportunities to serve…
We met again in person at the Chamber of Commerce… Great to enjoy the fellowship again and see all your smiling faces…
As a Club, we honored our nation with a salute to our Flag led by Liz and, an invocation was offered by Jack Anderson……

Tony Criss brought a git to President Tina from Paris (a bell)
Jim Ponder brought gifts as well from Maryland
Chris Miller also brought gifts from the various states on his road trip with Susie
Mike Dunlap talked about the schools in Guatemala that ESR supports. They are thanking us for the textbooks that 400 students in 3 schools received
The annual Community in Unity event will be on December 8th and we need to bring the pajamas to be donated for this event to next weeks meeting on the 17th
Mini Program:
Update on the Lead Camp that was in October.
Mr. Collin Hanel who serves in administration and has been a teacher at the Quantum Academy here in Escondido presented. Quantum Academy is located at the old Nicolaysen Center. This school was started to re-think education. It started with 4-6 graders and then junior high was added. Their values are:

Leading with empathy
Ask questions and seek answers
Caeden and Audrey were introduced and they spoke about their experience as students at Quantum. They also showed a video of Lead Camp from this summer. They said camp was really fun for everyone. Liz Phillips interviewed Caeden and Audrey, their speaking abilities were amazing and the whole presentation was such a blessing to hear about.
Main Program: Veterans Day Celebration:
Barry and Jim opened up the program and talked about what Veterans Day is all about and what it means. Many people in ESR submitted pictures and stories about their family members who bravely served our country. Some are no longer with us and needless to say there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. It was by far one of the best meetings we have had, we even went over by 15 minutes but no one left. Jim showed a music video by Toby Keith, American Soldier. Please see the pictures below of the many people who are a beautiful representation of this beautiful country we call home
