As we all try to conduct our professional pursuits in new ways, it’s appropriate to remind ourselves of who we are as a Serving Organization… Our accomplishments, our fellowship and the reminder of our many successes is valuable as we await the time we can gather together again…

Escondido Library Mural Project…
Past President, Jack Anderson, a member of the Library Foundation Board, shared with club members the process underway to place a mural on the west-facing wall of the Library. Interested individuals can access the two design options on the Library website; escondidolibrary.org and participate in the polling process…
Sunrise Rotary Resumes Meeting in Person…
President Chris shared that we will begin meeting in person, along with a hybrid Zoom format.
Meetings will be held at ‘The Grand’ Coffee House and meeting space at Grand Avenue and Juniper… Arrangements are being made for this to be a two-month meeting option, until our regular meeting place at Cocina del Charro resumes breakfast service…
Chris thanked President Elect, Richard Agnew and Club Secretary, John Schwab for their yeoman’s work in bringing about this opportunity to meeting in person…

Program:
The Duwara Consciousness Foundation and their efforts to serve unsheltered individuals… Presenting are Davinder Singh and Harisimran Kaur sharing on behalf of the Foundation…
Past President, Mike Dunlap introduced the program and the speakers. He shared information about the Foundation and its goals…

The support program of the Foundation strives to treat those individuals in our communities that are unsheltered. Their program focuses on services that offer dignity in the manner that they provide food, bath facilities and laundry support to those in need.
A video was shown that depicts the various service functions provided to the unsheltered; with much of their focus on the downtown San Diego area where there are significant numbers of people in need of their services…
Services include serving healthy food, all of which is plant-based… And providing clothing...
Trailers provide opportunities for use of showers, and laundry facilities so that the service recipient is able to not only clean their bodies, but also to dress in clean clothing…
Services are also available for those with physical disabilities…
The Foundation’s long term goal is to provide a location where unsheltered residents can live, work in a farm setting, and gain stability so they can rejoin society as productive members…
The Foundation is non-sectarian, no religious-based information is presented to those they serve. And, no drugs or alcohol use is permitted during the time services are provided…
