Program:

Program Chair, and Past President Mark Hoekstra introduced our newest member, Brad Allaband; and he told us all about himself and his family in his “Who Am I” presentation.

Brad is a Pennsylvania native, spent early years in Colorado and came to Escondido with his family at a young age. Brad graduated from Escondido High School and he married his wife Christine at the ripe old age of 19. Their daughter Morgan is a softball player at Weber State University in Utah, studying nursing, and their younger daughter will graduate from high school this spring.

Brad is a construction project manager and his wife works for Palomar Health. In his past, he was a volunteer firefighter with the San Pasqual Fire District and he has coached his daughters’ softball teams.

Welcome to Escondido Sunrise Brad!!

Brad Allaband sharing his history with Club members…

Past President Mark added a new twist to our program ‘potpourri’ with the ‘Can you guest the correct answer’ quiz with some of our esteemed members…

Of note; Mark Maus historical twist is that his great-great-?- grandfather worked with Ben Franklin to provide sox for revolutionary war soldiers…

Mark Maus and Past President Mark (not to be confused), sharing a sox story…

Bonnie Maloney shared her background in the true story of her working as a hairdresser with a Seinfeld Show producer, and that the story line of one of her real-life experiences found its way into a Seinfeld episode…

Bonnie Maloney (not of deep Irish heritage) with Past President Mark…

Past President Tony Criss… amazed us with the truth that he met his second wife (or was it the third wife?) at Woodstock… Tony’s stories not to be confused with his experiences in the Marine Corps and as a constable in Ohio…

Past President Tony, telling the ‘truth’ to Past President Mark…

Future-President, someday, Rorie Johnston, sharing the truth about her experiences in Cross-Fit competition; and that she aided a friend experiencing a heart attack, keeping her alive with CPR for 6 minutes… All the truth!

Rorie with Past President Mark…

And finally, President Dave told us of his experiences as a juggler, while working as a Nuclear Engineer for Uncle Sam… All truth as we say in “The Rotary Four-Way Test….” President Dave also survived a roller coaster accident… He was too tall to fit into the carriage…
