Program:
Ben McCue of the Outdoor Outreach program presented information about his organization and their efforts to reach underprivileged children in San Diego County with outdoor adventure activities foreign to most of the young people they serve.
He described the variety of activities, all held locally, such as surfing, rock climbing, hiking and the like. They provided programs for underprivileged children and for children of military families. An important effort is also the development of leadership skills among the youth; many of whom become ‘counselors’ and support staff for the events and activities.

Rotary District 5340 Foundation Seminar:
On Saturday November 14; hundreds of Rotarians from District 5340 attended the successful Foundation Seminar at the CCAE. Ably planned by our own Mike Dunlap, District Governor Nominee, our club did a great job of registering attendees and supporting this important event.  Jim Ponder served as Master of Ceremonies, and numerous outstanding Foundation projects were highlighted by presidents from clubs throughout the District. President Rich presented our successful ‘Bikes for Kids’ project with visuals and commentary.
Thanks to all our members who attended and to all the Clubs that showed the real impact of Rotary Service in our world.
