Reminders:

Spring Flower Baskets are available as a fund-raising project of the East Rotary Club… Cost is $30 and they will be delivered to our Club on the Thursday before Mother’s Day…Funds raised will provide support for Police and Fire Cadet programs in Escondido…

Fire Watch on Palomar Mountain… New members of the team,Ernie and Kati - Along with ‘veterans’, Randy and Maryann Furtado, 2 years on the mountain, and President Dave… more years than he can count… Thanks for serving in this important task…

Andy and Dana were in Cabo celebrating their anniversary… Andy’s ‘anniversary gift’ to President Dave was a shot glass and Mexican Bingo…

Past President Mike Muehl did a little dove hunting in Argentina… He did not bring the Prez any dove meat… but brought him an apron?

Rorie Johnston announced the Chamber of Commerce Grand Ave Festival will be held May 19th and the Chamber’s Annual Awards dinner with be June 14th…

 

President Dave shared a thank you letter from the Police Community Foundation for our support of the Explorers…

 

 

 

And, finally, President Dave announced the last Board meeting for this outstanding year was held on April 24 at Past President Rich Aeling’s home…

Must have been a great meeting; just look at the vittles and beverages…

 

 

Past President John Boyce recently encountered a member of the Rancho Bernardo Rotary Club; they are having a western themed fundraising event on Sunday July 14 from 2-5 PM at Webb Park in RB… “Vines & Vittles” … Lots of great food and beverages… sign up at rbvvfest.com

 

Past President and Rotary Foundation Chair, Kevin Svetich presented the 8th Paul Harris Foundation Award to Past President Bob Burson… Bob, thanks for your continuing generosity….. You too can make a difference!
