Past President George Beitner led the pledge to our nation’s flag… And Father Bill Dopp offered the invocation…

President Elect-Elect Chris Miller at the lectern, with command of the meeting….

As the meeting commenced, it was apparent that the “real” President Elect, Brian Murphy was comfortable in the audience and not standing ‘in the line of fire’ as was his successor, Chris Miller…

President Elect Brian Murphy seen shirking his duties at the meeting… Naturally wearing his ‘cat ate the canary’ wry grin… Smooth move Brian…

Program: Mike Perry discussing Micro-Current Pain Management.

Past President Jim Ponder introduced the speaker, sharing his background relating to functional medicine… Mike discussed the root causes of symptomatic diseases that cause body pain; most resting to neurological malfunctions, and the impedance that occurs within the neurological system causing pain…

Mike Perry presenting to Escondido Sunrise club members….

Mike continued to share the intricacies of the body’s neurological system including the complicated 41 miles of nerves within our bodies. Blockages that occur within the neurological system result in pain; causes can be inflammation, scar tissue, injury or impingement. Western medicine will normally use drugs or manipulation to relieve nerve pain.

Mike shared information about therapies that work to improve the electrical conductivity within our nervous system; the discovery of electrical impulses within our cellular structure was discovered in 1909; and in 1991, the capability to measure such electrical was discovered. Mike referred to his treatments as ‘acupuncture on steroids’ such that they can use electrical stimulus to rebuild pathways and reduce pain. The challenge is to use only enough electrical stimuli for healing and not to damage any surrounding tissue.
