Mike Meziere being recognized by Sunrise Rotarians…

Our effort to construct a house for a family in need was a successful project. Teaming with the Wednesday PM Club and with Mike’s expertise, and with the weather cooperating, the project was another win for a family in Mexico. Mike and his crew have built over 100 homes, and have the tools and working knowledge to bring a project together; Mike has been working with Project Mercy for 20 years… This project was Sunrise Rotary’s 7th house.

The families are selected for the opportunity, and are responsible for preparing the site, including installing a slab. Our house this year had many parts assembled offsite and brought in; so there was installing and painting. Many of the families exist on very little; one family that Mike supported survived on a weekly income of $78…

After our work, the finishing touches; electrical and plumbing are completed by local skilled laborers provided by Project Mercy…
