Jim Ponder speaking to the club members regarding the Grape Day 5K…

Jim highlighted many of the new features of this year’s 5K event to be held on October 12…

Start time is 8:00 AM

The ‘race’ will begin and end in Grape Day Park

After the race will be an day of great events in the Park, including ‘Tots and Trucks’, Dr. Bronner’s soapy snow, and connections to the Children’s Museum and the History Center…

A few highlights also were noted that the City fees have been set (a bit lower than last year)… The City is a great partner in this year’s event…

Jim also commented on the marketing efforts to support fundraising; there will be some ‘Why’ statements that all members can use as to the purpose of our fundraising and our philanthropic efforts…

Our ‘Why’ includes things like; dreaming of a polio-free world, clean water for all areas of the undeveloped world, support for homeless veterans… And things we do locally and world-wide.

This slide highlights the activities that will be part of our event…

In addition to the activities, Richard Agnew demonstrated the software that will assist us all in fundraising… All team captains will be meeting to set up the fundraising pages for their teams… The purpose of our effort is to ensure that all financial gifts are received and documented at one receiving point…

More information will be forthcoming from each team captain…

Now is the time Ladies and Gentlemen to begin contacting your friends and colleagues to support our great community event…

Software guru, Richard Agnew filling all club members in on the details of the fundraising software that will be used with the Grape Day 5K
