Announcements:

Past President Rich Aeling described our successful pajama project for  the ‘Friends of Scott’ effort through Rady Children’s hospital. Our efforts along with the Chamber of Commerce resulted in 150 pairs of pajamas…

Rich also spoke about the recent ‘scouting trip’ to Mexicali identifying projects for our upcoming effort in the spring of 2020…

And, Rich shared the outcome of the Bikes for Kids giveaway at Oak Hill School… A bunch of happy 4th graders for sure…

 

 

 

 

 

Multiple Sclerosis Association gifting… Past Presidents Jim Ponder and Jeff Johnson updated Sunrise Rotarians on the outcome of the Grape Day 5K fundraising efforts… Specifically supporting our designated charity, the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, Pacific South Coast Chapter….

 

 

Representatives of the Multiple Sclerosis Association, Liz Digeronimo and Jared Beck shared some details of the Association’s efforts to support research and specifically, those afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis…

Past Presidents Jim Ponder and Jeff Johnson present a check for $25,000 to Liz Digeronimo and Jared Beck of the MS Association Pacific South Coast Chapter… This gift, coupled with our previous efforts on behalf of the MS Society, totals $126,900 since 2014… An amazing effort on behalf of  the Escondido Community and our Sunrise Rotary Grape Day fundraising efforts…

 

 

Christmas Gift Exchange:

Well, well… President Brian’s Bell was delivered to the Club’s Gift Exchange… But, it was in the package opened by Past President Constance Larsen…

But, President Brian thinks it’s still his bell… All the Club members know that Brian’s gift was not the bell…

Christmas Shopping with Youth:

An annual project led by Past President Mike Muehl enabled lots of youth from the Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA to do some Christmas shopping for their families… Pictured are Sunrise Rotary members and Friends helping the youngsters purchase gifts…
